Award: : Janet Namme Outstanding Academic Excellence Award 2017
Awardee: Sheriff M. Oluwatobi
Criteria: Recipients are those who display not only academic achievement but make strong contributions to their community. The Foundation seeks to support and uplift well-rounded students.
The 2017 recipient of the Outstanding Academic Excellence Award represented Nigeria at the African Spelling Bee Competition of that year. Sheriff M. Oluwatobi is a student at King's College in Lagos and was selected along with one other Nigerian student to represent the country. His commitment and rugged discipline landed him the first place prize in the competition. It also earned him the recognition of our organization and the top candidate to receive our Outstanding Academic Excellence Award. Sheriff proved himself to be a worthy candidate because in addition to his academic achievements at school he is also a prefect at his school being the Vice School Captain at Kings College Lagos in 2018.
